FOXPHOENIX — President Obama on Monday said that if Congress doesn’t take up immigration reform he may have to look at taking executive action. The President held a news conference at the White House, lashing out at Congressional Republicans and House Speaker John Boehner for refusing to take up immigration reform this year. He said that he would go at it alone, using executive action. “Today I’m beginning a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can, on my own, without Congress,” said President Obama. Joined by Vice President Joe Biden in the Rose Garden, the President said that the American people can expect a recommendation on immigration reform from his office by the end of the summer.
