Munir Ahmad Chaudary got 27 months in a federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to encourage immigrants to reside unlawfully in the United States charges after a four year investigation.
Chaudary’s wife also pleaded guilty to similar charges and got a 21 month sentence.
Chaudary and his wife ran two hotels in suburban Kansas City where they systematically replaced legal workers with illegals.
Prosecutors say that the couple replaced lawfully employed workers with immigrants not authorized to work in the United States to cut their labor costs by 40 percent. Not only were the illegal workers paid a lower wage, but the owners also did not pay the employer’s share of Social Security. They didn’t pay worker’s compensation, unemployment insurance and other employee benefits, or withhold federal or state income taxes from the workers’ pay.
“The Chaudarys sought to game the system and gain an unfair business advantage over their legitimate competitors by hiring illegal aliens at cut-rate wages,” Gary Hartwig, special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Chicago, said in a news release.
Looks like a bunch of Kansas City-area legal workers got a harsh lesson in the economics of illegal immigration. Despite the fact they were willing to do the work, they were still replaced with cheaper illegal immigrants.

my son lives in nj and works for a private electrical company who has to bid for jobs. They lose most bids because other electrical companies there can bid lower since they hire illegals who know nothing about safety codes ect…makes one wonder how they are passing town safety inspections on these jobs and how safe are the people who live there!!!

We just had one in Dallas, Tx who may or may not have been an illegal, but was definitely not aware of safety codes fry himself on the job. Not one of his family members could speak English when the media showed up!

It’s about time someone got busted for breaking our immigration laws. But, I won’t be impressed until this becomes a common penalty for all of the other businesses that do the same illegal hiring.
Yeah, the owners got busted but what actually happened to the workers? Did they do the usual catch and release?
They should have confiscated their property like they do with drug dealers. If that happened then other businesses would stop hiring illegals.

I live in NJ…I can answer your question. My home was built in a development by primarily all illegals. They don’t know what they are doing because they don’t understand nor speak English! I was told that by the supervisor of workers.They do what they think they are told, they are not skilled craftsmen, they are day laborers, they don’t know why the insulation with foil paper is turned to one side or the other , Some pieces next to each other were turned just the opposite…who said they are good workers, I can tell you they are not! The paint in my home looked like it was sloshed on the walls and that the paint roller should have been changed or had too much paint on it. Areas that should have been painted were just bare wood. some of the walls had pencil marks to show where to line up molding and it was never done. The toilet seats were screwed on too tight, the pan in the shower rocked, some of the floor molding was not even attached. Many of us complained to have AMERICAN workers used and we were told by the builder “we will try.” It was just an answer, not a reality! And that was on the walk thru. There were steel drums for garbage thruout the area for workers to use, they threw their food wrappers, aluminum foil, boiled egg shells, Styrofoam trays and plastic forks and bottles in the street. They were so dirty! Greed has destroyed our country and we did get illegals during the surge of 2014. I never saw so many illegals speaking Spanish before and they were in the malls SHOPPING, I wondered where did they get their money because I had in 6 years never seen illegals in a mall before until last year. Obama is definitely making NJ Hispanic.
Can you imagine how fast the jails would fill up if the law was enforced in commiefornia? …all employers not employing legal Americans should lose their businesses, period.
