Once again, other English-speaking democracies around the globe lead the way when it comes to dealing with illegal immigration.
Today, it’s Australia which announced it will revoke citizenship for Australian-born citizens of immigrants who join terrorist group ISIS.
Australia can currently only revoke citizenship in cases of fraud in the citizenship application or where an Australian citizen joins the armed forces of another country to fight Australia.
Because the Islamic State movement is not recognized as a state, membership is not a ground for losing Australian citizenship, Dutton said
“I can hardly walk down the street without people saying: ‘Why do you let these people back into our country? They come back more radicalized,”‘ Dutton said.
“They are a huge threat to Australian citizens. We should act and that’s what the government is doing,” he added.
Politicians are dealing with Australia’s immigration problem far differently than Barack Obama. From this effort to contain radical Islamists to the “No Way” program where illegal immigrants are assured they will never be citizens, their government says there is no profit to be had from illegal immigration.
ISIS militants have had conspicuous success in recruiting in Australia, which has 24 million people. The majority are Christian while two per cent are Muslim.
The London-based International Centre for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence estimates that between 100 and 250 Australians have joined Sunni militants in Iraq and Syria. The centre estimates only 100 U.S. fighters have arrived from an American population more than 13-times larger.

The men are suspected of planning to travel abroad to join ISIS, sources said. They were identified Friday as Muhanad Badawi and Nader Elhuzayel, both 24 and from Anaheim, U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Thom Mrozek told NBC Los Angeles. One man was arrested at LAX, the other in Orange County.
They will retain U.S. citizenship no doubt
Good for Australia ! I only wish our government would do the same. I say don’t waste time and money arresting these nut jobs trying to leave to join the jihad. Let them go but, don’t let them back in and if they’re citizens, then revoke it.
