Two recently nabbed illegal alien sex offenders may not be deported thanks to President Obama’s new priorities on enforcement say two members of Congress.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck 
Grassley (R-IA) wrote to Jeh Johnson, Department of Homeland Security Secretary asking about these two recent cases and how the Obama Administration plans to deal with them.
At issue are two sex offenders arrested this month. Both are currently in custody. The first, Arturo Ocon-Garcia was arrested on October 5 by Customs and Border Patrol for illegal entry. Ocon-Garcia had previously been convicted for sex crimes in the sanctuary city of Chicago.
The second, Melvin Perez Bonilla, was arrested by Arlington County Police and has admitted to sex crimes, however, since Bonilla does not have any prior convictions, Goodlatte and Grassley are expressing concern that he will not be a priority that would lead to immigration enforcement action under the administration’s new Priority Enforcement Program.
“We have concerns about how these two criminal aliens will be addressed by your Department, especially considering that the Administration’s new Priority Enforcement Program (PEP) fails to address many criminal aliens,” the pair wrote in a letter to DHS Sec. Jeh Johnson Wednesday.
Thanks to sanctuary cities and Obama’s toothless enforcement procedures, it looks like illegal aliens will basically never face deportation under any circumstances. That seems to be the objective of the Obama Administration no matter what rhetoric they spew.
