By the US Constitution, ALL federal (& even State level) government personnel MUST be US Citizens & must be under Oath of Office BEFORE even assuming position in the job. Legislation is insufficient to change the Constitution; it takes an Article V Amendment Ratification to make any changes.
Legislation does NOT trump the Constitution; indeed, Legislative Powers are LIMITED BY the Constitution. All Legislation must be adjunct (attached to, but inferior in position) & in pursuance to the Constitution, otherwise the legislation itself is illegal.
Merely by introducing legislation that would violate the constitution, Rep. Dunham is initiating action originating in a conspiracy to violate the Supreme Law of the Land, a HIGH CRIME.
In 1952 when I was in the Marine Corps, we had an collage student from Greece who got his citizenship by enlisting in the Marine corps. I lost track of him years later but during the 15 years I knew him he was a stand-up guy and a good Marine. Maybe some of the new one’s can become good citizens..
