Donald Trump forcefully fought off attacks by pro-illegal alien politicians like John Kasich and defended both a strong defense of our Southern Border and serious immigration law enforcement.
“We are a country of laws,” the real estate mogul declared. “We need borders. We will have a wall. The wall will be built. The wall will be successful. And if you think walls don’t work, all you have to do is ask Israel. The wall works, believe me, properly done. Believe me.”
When pressed by Maria Bartiromo on whether he would really deport the millions of illegal aliens currently in the country, Trump affirmed that he would, saying “we either have a country or we don’t.”
When Kasich used the establishment argument that it’s impossible to actually enforce the law because there are just too many criminals running around, Trump invoked former President Dwight D. Eisenhower:
“Come on folks!” he cried. “We all know you can’t pick them up and ship them back across the border. It’s a silly argument. It’s not an adult argument. It makes no sense.”
Trump responded by pointing to the ultimate success of Operation Wetback in the days of President Eisenhower.
“Let me just tell you that Dwight Eisenhower … moved a million and a half illegal immigrants out of this country, moved them just beyond the border; they came back,” Trump explained. “Moved them again beyond the border, they came back. Didn’t like it; moved them way south. They never came back.
“Dwight Eisenhower. You don’t get nicer, you don’t get friendlier; they moved a million and a half people out. We have no choice. We have no choice.”
Ike only had a million illegals to deport we have at least 20million to deport so I don’t think Trump’s plan is practical. What we need is mandatory E-Verify with huge penalties for employers who are caught hiring illegals. With no jobs they’ll self deport. And cut off state funding for states with sanctuary cities and for issuing drivers licenses for illegals. And definitely go after I.D. fraud which enables them to commit tax fraud and Social Security fraud. And deport them even if they have Anchor Babies they can take their children with them. We don’t need “immigration reform” we need our existing laws to be enforced. Once they know that they can’t get away with it anymore, it’ll stop. Go Trump!!!!
We can easily deport 10,000,000 criminals in less than a year for $ 300,000,000. We would need 6000 no frills busses that would carry at least 55 passengers each. If each bus made 30 trips that’s just shy of 10 mil. We have at least 40% non essential govt workers so finding dead weight to drive them would be easy and not cost anymore in wages. If they don’t want to break up families then all family members would be given seats on the same bus so they could stay together. Don’t tell me it can’t be done just do it
