Donald Trump stepped back from previous statements critical of a massive expansion in H1-B visas during the Republican debate yesterday.
Trump was asked, “You have been very critical of Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, who has wanted to increase the number of these H-1Bs –.” He cut in to say he was “not at all” critical of Zuckerberg. He continued, “In fact, frankly, he’s complaining about the fact that we’re losing some of the most talented people. They go to Harvard. They go to Yale. They go to Princeton. They come from another country, and they’re immediately sent out. I am all in favor of keeping these talented people here, so they can go to work in Silicon Valley.”
In his immigration plan, Trump criticized efforts to expand the H1-B visa plan and specifically mocked Marco Rubio, a major proponent of the scheme to triple the number of foreign workers allowed into the country as “Mark 
Zuckerburg’s personal Senator.”
Trump’s final statement on H1-B visas seemed to support expanding the program:
“I’m in favor of people coming into this country legally. And you know what, they can have it anyway you want. You can call it visas. You can call it work permits. You can call it anything you want.” After saying he will create jobs, Trump continued, “As far as Mark is concerned, as far as the visas are concerned, if we need people, it’s fine. They have to come in to this country legally. We have a country of borders. We have a country of laws. We have to obey the laws. It’s fine if they come in, but they have to come in legally.”
H1 b is a scam.But he’s is right if you get rid of the welfare people and only bring educated englsih speakers the country will do fine.But that requires also European H1-b. Zuckergberg and Goldman are running Facebook as a scam.He doesn’t have the long term revenue nor entry into other markets so he supports it to keep cost low and scam running.Sell out America is the game.Personally Facebook could move to china tommorow and I wouldnt care.They just can’t access our money markets and financing.If its that great of a business he would leave. I agree with everything you said with the exception of bringing in HB-1 visa holders from Europe… I am of the opinion we do not need more immigrants to take the place of any American worker…. immigration needs to be shut down completely…. we have enough people here…. we need to deal with their own problems, not import more of them and yes people that come from socialist and third world countries in mass do not share our value system, so they are a problem.
I had such hope for Trump. But he can’t even read and agree with what Senator Jeff Sessions put on his website. Two days after that went up he was loudly proclaiming that we need to retain all the foreign university students once they graduate.
The worst thing is he doesn’t want to penalize employers for hiring illegals. Judges, politicians and the people won’t let him deport. He has to punish employers to where they refuse to hire illegals and they have to “self-deport”.
