Judge Andrew Hanen tossed aside the Obama Administration’s demand to remove his temporary injunction against President Obama’s illegal alien amnesty order.
Instead, the judge left the injunction in place until a scheduled hearing on March 19th.
Obama’s lawyers told the court in the initial hearing that none of Obama’s edict would be enforced until mid-February. Hanen’s temporary injunction, brought about by the lawsuit filed by 26 states against Obama’s order, should have prevented any action based on Obama’s order.
Despite what Obama’s lawyers told the court in February, over 100,000 illegal aliens already got three year work permits under Obama’s order starting in January. Basically, Obama’s lawyers didn’t know Obama was already handing out goodies or they deliberately lied to the court.
Obama’s lawyers are going to continue their campaign to force Judge Hanen to back down by appealing their latest rejection to a the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
