TIME TO BREAK UP THE SOCIAL MEDIA BEHEMOTHS!

LETTER FROM JIM GILCHRIST TO PRESIDENT TRUMP 05/27/20

Dear President Trump,

I fully support your efforts to restore First Amendment rights to those of us who have been either banned from, or temporarily shut down by, social media behemoths like Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, etc.

I have been blocked from posting my personal comments and opinions on my two Facebook accounts by Facebook in the past nine months. The blocking usually lasts for two months.

I post nothing threatening violence or anything of the sort. I simply opine about current event issues and express my blatant personal opinions…supported by factual information.

I also vehemently support you and your supporters Mr. Trump.

I am one of millions of Americans who have been FORCED by the social media conglomerate bullies to relinquish our inalienable rights to freedom of speech.

For God’s sake, Mr. President, I am a combat wounded Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. If nothing else, haven’t I at least earned “permission” to freely express my opinions?

If our war veterans are deprived of their First Amendment rights, then that is a very serious indictment of the current State of the Union, and the precursor that all other persons will eventually be prohibited from speaking or writing anything that the social media powerhouses do not like.

Please, Mr. Trump. Now is the time to lead Congress in a concerted effort to restore the First Amendment to all by using anti-trust laws to break up these monopolies who have made a mockery of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, and who are a clear and present threat to all other aspects of our Constitution.
