Welcome to New York’s “Engaging Immigrant New York City” campaign. It’s a pandering move to sweep up Democrat voters in what its organizers refer to as “an initiative to mobilize immigrant New Yorkers in preparation for the 2016 Presidential elections.” As home to over three million immigrants it’s a great place for the pro-illegal lobby to start.
It’s all part of the Democrats master plan to expand their voter base across the country. It’s a shrewd move. Their community organizers and labor union City staff are well positioned to spread the liberal message, “Democrats good; Republicans bad’ to people illegally present in the country.
Billionaire George Soros, who has personally committed $5 million to change the voting requirements by getting rid of photo ID laws that proof citizenship must be ecstatic. (Only citizens can legally vote in the U.S., it’s the only thing that separates a legal permanent resident from a citizen.)
For these days, Soros, the Democrats and the pro-illegal immigrant groups all view citizenship as a hinderance to acquiring more votes for leftist politicians. Obama’s Marxist Justice Department has even sued Kansas and Arizona over their laws requiring proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote.
Although über-leftist New York Mayor, Bill de Blasio, hasn’t publicly supported the registration of non-citizens, City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito wants to allow legal residents (Greencard and visa holders) to vote in city elections. This is the classic liberal technique of taking a reasonable inch – giving legal residents the vote- so it can be later stretched to an unreasonable mile – giving illegal residents the vote.
Back at City Hall, the mayor’s office is busy translating voter registration forms into “more common languages,” like Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, French, Haitian Creole, Korean, Russian, Spanish and Urdu.”
Are the Dems scared? Do they think their only chance of victory for Hillary in 2016 is the illegal immigrant vote? How desperate are they?
