Obama Loophole Gives Illegals Quick Path to Citizenship

President Obama has created yet another loophole in federal immigration law that could allow millions of illegal aliens to wipe out their crime and get on the path to citizenship.

It’s called advance parole.

Thanks to Obama, an illegal alien can apply for advance parole to return to their homeland.  If it’s granted, they can return to the United States legally and their previous illegal entry is wiped out.

The special travel permission, known as “advance parole,” is one of the benefits that as many as 5 million undocumented immigrants could apply for under the president’s executive action offering a three-year reprieve from deportation.

The use of advance parole, as well as other elements of the Obama administration’s plan, represents a “sneaky attempt to place potentially hundreds of thousands of unlawful immigrants on a path to citizenship,” charged Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), a persistent critic of Obama’s immigration policies who chairs the House Judiciary Committee.

Obama’s amnesty opens this door to as many as 5 million illegals who Obama claimed had to have lived in the United States for a number of years.

At one time, illegal immigrants who left the United States were automatically barred from returning for three or 10 years, depending on how long they had lived here. But in 2012, an immigration court ruled that advance parole should not count against an immigrant’s need to maintain a full-time “lawful presence” in the United States in order to apply for a green card. The judge’s ruling “shook the earth,” Vandenberg wrote.

Allegedly, advance parole can only be granted in dire emergencies.  However, with an Administration as committed to ignoring the law as this one, it’s likely the standards for this magic erasing of criminal activity will be commonplace.
