A massive federal law enforcement effort has cracked open a huge case of illegal entry into the United States.
No — not the millions of illegal aliens currently crossing the border, but 40 Land Rover off-road vehicles.
That’s right. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement sent hundreds of officers and spent thousands of man-hours preparing search warrants to ensure old Land Rovers weren’t sneaking over the border in violation of federal law.
Vincent Picard, a spokesman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said authorities believe the cars were unlawfully brought into the U.S.
“ICE Homeland Security Investigations special agents served court-ordered seizure warrants on approximately 40 Land Rovers in various locations around the country,” he said in an email. “The seizures are being made pursuant to an ongoing criminal investigation involving the unlawful importation of the vehicles from Great Britain. The Land Rovers, which do not meet federal safety or emission standards, cannot be lawfully operated in the United States.”
ICE has the time and the manpower to track down and capture 40 dangerous off road vehicles yet somehow can’t find the time or money to find and deport the millions of illegal aliens currently living illegally in the United States. Remember this the next time Obama claims he needs more money to enforce the law along our Southern Border.
