Feds Blocking Illegal Alien Voting Probe

Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted found 44 cases of illegal aliens voting in Ohio and could find more but federal officials refuse to hand over crucial data.

Husted’s investigation used Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle data to cross check voter rolls.  However, for a match, the BMV record must be self-identified as a non-citizen.

Husted said the non-citizen problem might be bigger but there is no way to check citizenship status of voters who registered using only the last four digits of their Social Security numbers, which is one of several forms of identification accepted in Ohio.

Non-citizens authorized to work in the U.S. can receive Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses. Husted has asked the feds to provide the names, dates of birth and last four digits of the Social Security numbers of non-citizens so his office can cross-reference registered voter data.

President Obama’s new immigration policies would allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers. Husted said Obama’s recent immigration actions could allow more non-citizens to vote.

Unsurprisingly, federal officials under the Obama regime are not going to willingly hand over information allowing state officials to clear non-citizens off the voting rolls.  Those votes are too important to the regime.
